NEW Caillou Doll and Caillou Bath Time Vehicle

Caillou has been a permanent fixture in our home for as long as I can remember.. well since having kids at least. First, my son who is now 11 years old, loved Caillou.  We read Caillou books and watched Caillou on PBS, almost daily.  Now, my 4 year old daughter is following in his footsteps with her very own collection of Caillou items which I must admit, trump my son’s collection from years ago.

My daughter’s Caillou collection includes books, videos, and now a new Caillou Doll and Caillou Bath Time Vehicle.  She’s a huge fan of bath time (aka ‘play in the water time’) and has way too many bath toys.  But she picks favorites.. and right now the Caillou Bath Time Vehicle is her fave.

Madelyn’s Caillou Doll is my daughter’s new partner in crime.  He plays ‘spy’ with her and her brother, empties the cookie bin, and eats dinner with her most nights.  Of course Caillou is the one that makes the messes at the dinner table, not my 4 year old. 😉  The Caillou Doll retails for a steep $29.99 but believe me.. Caillou’s not going anywhere and you’re child will love snuggling with and playing with his/her Caillou Doll for years.

My daughter loves her new Caillou Bath Time Vehicle although she’s on the older end of the recommended age.  The wind-up boat has an underwater motor that really works and makes the boat move across the bath tub and comes with 2 figures: Caillou and Gilbert or Caillou and Rexy.  The Caillou Bath Time Vehicle retails for $16.99 at Toys R Us.

The Caillou television show airs on PBS Kids and Sprout and is brought to you by Cookie Jar Entertainment.

TummyTub – stress free bath time for newborns and premature babies

TummyTub
Infant in TummyTub

If new parents could, they would wear earphones while bathing their newborn or just not bathe their newborn at all.  Why?  The screaming and the apparent discomfort the baby is experiencing, of course.

TummyTub is a safe solution to stressful newborn bath time allowing your baby to be in the familiar fetal position making the bathing experience more relaxing for you and baby all the while giving parents easy access to baby in order to thoroughly wash her.

Because the TummyTub only needs a small amount of water in it, it is quicker to fill than the bath tub and the water temperature stays regulated for longer as there is minimal surface area, so baby doesn’t get cold as quickly as she might in the bath tub or sink.  Emersion to shoulder level means relaxing warmth for the whole body.

If you are expecting a baby or have an infant I highly recommend visiting the TummyTub website and watching the videos and viewing the photo gallery of babies using TummyTub.

TummyTub is:

  • Useful from birth up until the age of 12 months. Some children even bath in it until they are 3 years old.
  • Especially recommended for premature babies. The shaped form conveys a feeling of reassurance and security to the baby.
  • Safe.  The TummyTub® has been tested for safety by the STR in the USA and UK.

TummyTub can be purchased at Amazon.com here.

Bath Blizzard – a bubble bath toy

I am really glad I was given the opportunity to review the bath blizzard but I can’t say that I would spend $19.99 on this product.  The concept of the bath blizzard is great but a I have a few issues with it.  I recommend that you take a look at the (4 page) instruction sheet, which you will find on the Kid Kleen website here before buying a bath blizzard.

Bath Cakes, Bubble Cakes, and Soapy Cakes from Bath Cake Boutique

BathcakeboutiqueWhen I opened the box I recently got from Bath Cake Boutique, I couldn’t believe how yummy everything in the box looked and smelled. I was actually a little confused.  I was on my way out the door when I opened the box so I didn’t look at the company name on the box, Bath Cake Boutique (which kind of gives a hint to what’s inside).  My first thought was ‘"how on earth did these incredible chocolate cakes make it through the mail"?   The cakes look real and smell amazing.  I realized they weren’t real cakes when I picked one up and noticed it was a bit heavier than cakes.  Packed in a bakery type box, the kids also thought the cakes were real.  Luckily though, they didn’t take a bite.

Pictured above is a bath cake, soapy cake, and bubble cake.  That is Madelyn’s hand in the photograph so you can kind of tell how big they are.  The Bath Cakes are handmade with essential oils, minerals, butters, and milk and the bubble cakes make nice thick bubbles and not only that, but you have a one-use soap left.  These products are available in over a dozen scents including chocolate, almond, vanilla, and watermelon.

You will find lots of other goodies at Bath Cake Boutique like lip balm, bath salts and body butter that both you and your kids will love.  These cute, yummy looking, incredibly smelling goodies make great gifts.  They are definitely a conversation starter!

We will have a Bath Cake giveaway soon, so check back often and join our newsletter to be one of the first to know when we start the giveaway contest.

Diaper Milkshakes from Sassy Pink Boutique

Sassypinkboutiquediapermilkshakes I wish I had a baby shower to go to just so I can give the expecting mom Diaper Milkshakes.  Wrapped in cellophane, tied with ribbon, served in milkshake containers and placed in a beverage carrier, Diaper Milkshakes are truly a one of a kind gift.  A set of Diaper Milkshakes is a gift that the recipient is sure to remember and parents can actually use what’s inside the milkshakes. Novel idea, huh?

Four Diaper Milkshakes are included in a set and the ingredients include four full sized washcloths, four (size 1) Pampers Swaddlers, four (0-3 m) Gerber onsies, and two pair (0-6m) red socks.  The red socks are the cherries on top of the milkshakes!  How cute is that?  Available flavors are strawberry, lemon, and blueberry.  Oh, and because the ‘ingredients’ are name brand, you know they are great quality and worth every penny.  What new mom can’t use every single thing in these delicious looking milkshakes?
