The Busy Babe book is one of the most exceptional organization tools I’ve seen.  I’m not kidding.

The Busy Babe book includes tabs for each month of the year. The first page of each tab is a calendar for that month with enough room to write events and apointments in each box. Then you will find one page for every day of the month that includes the following areas:

1. To do list
2. Food tracker
3. Apointments
4. Today’s buzz (things baby did, etc)
5. Tonight’s dinner
6. Sleep tracker
7. Pattern tracker (poopie diapers, medications, etc)

I know you are thinking you will have to write so small that you won’t be able to read what you wrote later, but I promise you that there is plenty of room in each section to write all the important stuff your baby did that day! 

The Busy Babe book also includes several ‘templates’ that Mom can fill out such as a "Shape Up" page where you can set exercise goals, and a "Staring Solids" page where you can track when your baby started eating which solids and what her reaction was. There are lots of pages where you can note your baby’s doctors apointments too. These are great!

The Busy Babe book is great to leave with the babysitter or nanny. Have her fill out the current day’s page so when you come home in the evening, you know exactly what your baby did and when without having to ask.

The Busy Babe book is durable with a thick water-proof front and back cover and is spiral bound for easy page turning. That is a major plus!

I’m back.. and I’m bad!

Feeling bad that is.. I have had a nasty head cold for over a week now. There really should be a time cap of 2 days on colds. 

I REALLY appreciate the comments that you all posted regarding my breastfeeding post.  I made the decision to let Madelyn stop nursing and I will start taking my medicine and hopefully feel alive again soon!  Meanwhile, I am going to get back on track writing reviews 5 days a week. I feel awful that I have gone a week without writing a review even though I don’t get paid to write them.

You all are such loyal readers!

I am reaching out to you..  for advice. I am having a really tough time lately. Madelyn will not nurse any more (she is 8 months old). When I try to nurse her, she arches her back and screams like I am hurting her.
First, let me give you a little bit of history. I knew that I wanted to breastfeed Madelyn for at least one year before she was even born. I was only able to breastfeed Sebastian for 6 weeks and stopped because a lactation consultant told me that it would be better for him and me due to the stress it was causing both of us. Now, 7 years later, I know better.
Madelyn was never a great nurser (she only nursed for 2 or 3 minutes per side), but I stuck with nursing her exclusively for almost 4 months. Then after listening to my Mom tell me that she wasn’t nursing long enough to do any good, I decided to start supplementing with formula. I would breastfeed, then she would immediately gulp down a 4 -6 ounce bottle. This was our routine for 3 months.

Onesie and Nursing Curtain from Mommy’s Little Monkey

Unfortunately, Madelyn is not interested in nursing these days but while I was nursing I used a nursing curtain from Mommy’s Little Monkey which alleviated a lot of stress, believe it or not. This option is not readily available with other nursing curtains I’ve seen.  The lined version has an attached burp cloth which I think is awesome as Madelyn was a big "spitter upper" when she was in her younger months.  The Mommy’s Little Helper nursing curtain can also be used as a stroller shade which comes in really handy!

Stylish baby and kids shoes? No longer are we forced to buy the mainstream shoe brands for our VIK’s (very important kids).  There is a Vincent Shoe for every climate, and personality.

The most exciting Vincent Shoe (according to Sebastian) is the Kasper. The Kasper, pictured to the left, is a stylish cold-weather boot for both boys and girls.  The Kasper is sold in toddler and children’s sizes. Sebastian has worn the Kasper almost every day since I opened the box and has provided rave reviews such as "these are the most awesome shoes ever, Mom!".
