CardStix – greeting cards that stick

Cardstix
I can’t tell you how many times Sebastian has been to a birthday party and the recipient had no idea who gave him the gift because Sebastian forgot to make or bring a card. Card Stix solves that problem once and for all.  Card Stix stick to wrapped gifts, gift bags, bottles, and I’m sure you can come up with plenty of other places where you can stick these cheery cards.

So you are probably thinking that Card Stix must be outrageously priced.  Wrong! A collection of 12 Card Stix is just $12!  That is way less than what you would pay at the drug store.  Add $5 to have your Card Stix personalized with a name and/or greeting. What’s even better.. Personalized calling cards, announcments, and more

Doodlebugprints1Kathryn with Doodlebug Prints has delighted me with samples of her whimsical, yet classic ‘mommy calling cards’, and ‘photo birth announcement’s’. I’ve often scribbled a note on torn scrap paper when I want to get in touch with one of Sebastian’s classmates moms and I hate that!  I don’t want to write a note to a fellow mom on my business letter head either. Kathryn’s ‘mommy calling cards’ are the perfect solution for me. Moms can have their name, phone numbers, and email address printed on durable cardstock in their choice of many designs. The calling cards are regular business card size, easy to fit in a diaper bag pocket, can be customized to suit your needs and colors can be changed for no additional fee.

Before I get to the end of this post, I want to be sure you know that you will get 20% your order with coupon code INSIDER07!

Here are a few situations when you really should have a ‘mommy calling card’ on hand.

1. Send a note to a class mom.
2. You meet a cool mommy at the park and want to share your number.
3. Hand them out to the moms at your playdates.

Kathryn’s photo baby announcements are beautiful too. Featuring your baby’s photograph on durable cardstock, the color and design of your choice, these truly are personalized for you!

Oh, and here’s a great gift or birthday party invitation idea… Kathryn’s photo magnets. These are so great. You can choose to have your personal photograph on any of her designs on a small magnet or large. No one will forget your child’s birthday party if you send these out as invitations!

The images on the Doodlebug Prints website don’t do Kathryn’s work justice.

Stubby Pencil Studio – Color n’ Kids cards

Stubby_birthday1
I love the look of a child’s handmade card… but as all parents know, that’s just not reality. Asking Sebastian to make a birthday card for his friend Hunter’s birthday was like asking him to unplub the ever- beloved telvision  (torture, in other words).

With the help of Stubby Pencil Studio’s cards, I am finally able to compro
mise with Sebastian when it comes to greeting cards. I pull out one of Sebastian’s Stubby Pencil Studio’s Color n’ Kids cards and feel confident that he will have an awesome card ready in just a matter of minutes.

Stubby Pencil Studio’s Color n’ Kids cards are designed with kids in mind. The simple illustrations are perfect for little hands to color.  The cards are blank on the inside so Sebastian writes his own crazy thoughts such as "happy birthday, glad you’re not sick today"… I don’t know where these ideas come from.

Stubby_rocket1Color n’ Kids cards are not only more creative and fun than a grocery store greeting card but are also less pricey.  A set of six cards costs less than the price of two greeting cards bought at the store which can cost up to $3.50 each.

Don’t worry, you will find cards to fit your child’s personality. One of Sebastian’s favorite sets is the "Six in Space" set which comes with an "alien" card, a "rocket" card, a "star" card, and three other space related designs.

A task on top of every expectant parents to do list is ordering baby announcements. However, simply ordering baby announcements doesn’t cut it any more. Baby announcements can now be customized with different colors, fonts, photograph placement, card stock texture, etc and Baby Card Expressions allows parents to do just that. Customize your own photo cards!

Stacey, the super-woman behind Baby Card Expressions, has an eye for design and it shows in her work. With dozens of designs in categories including baby girl announcements, baby boy announcements, and birthday invitations, you are sure to find a design that fits your (or your baby’s) personality and design style.

What impressed me the most and makes Baby Card Expressions photo cards stand out from others that I’ve seen is the textured card stock that Stacey uses with some of her designs such as the Peyton design pictured to the left.  When I picked up the Peyton photo card, I felt like I was handling a piece of art rather than just another photograph.
