The Gro Project has some great ideas to get you moving in the right direction if you don’t know where to start.  They have three simple projects and instructions on their  Facebook page  .  I am going to try out the Ukulele Garden with my kids!

Here’s what you need to get started:

• A ukulele, or other well-loved instrument
• Miracle-Gro® Moisture Control® Potting Mix
• A small plant like ivy, a petunia or a spider plant
• A drill
• Miracle-Gro® Shake ‘n Feed® Plant Food
Step 1. Drill it!

Make holes in the bottom of your ukulele for drainage. You’ve played some good songs
together, but it’s time for something new!
Step 2. Fill it!
Pour potting mix into the opening.
Step 3. Plant it!
You’ll probably have to unwind a few strings to make room.
Step 4. Nurture it!
Let it sit outside and give it as much sun, water and
Miracle-Gro® Shake ‘n Feed® Plant Food as needed.
Step 5. Green Thumbs Up!

Prop it up on your porch and invite your friends over for a luau.
You need to feed it every three months to keep it looking lovely!
