On the driving and trolley tours, guests can see the site of the Bloody Marsh Battle Site, where the British fought the Spanish in 1742, and St Simons Island Lighthouse, a beautiful lighthouse built in 1872. Other outdoor attractions the entire family will enjoy include the Fort Frederica National Monument, a fortress established in 1736 by James Oglethorpe, and Gascoigne Bluff, a Native American campground and historic southern plantation.
