May 2013

I was five hours from my family and he was four hours away from his. And of course both families were in opposite directions from each other. We had moved to a town where we could both commute from to our jobs and, of course, they were in opposite directions! We didn’t get to see each other much at first because we worked different schedules. I went from a town that everyone knew everyone to a town where I didn’t even know one person. It was awful, but we started to make friends at our jobs and come to have a little support system. I really think going through that in the beginning made us stronger and more aware of how to handle what trying times might lay ahead. It made us work together that we otherwise might not have if we had our families around. I believe that it gave us hope that we could handle anything together. When one of us has trying times now we pick the other one up and help push forward. It has been a great journey so far and I can’t wait to see what awaits us in the future!

I am dreaming of the beach…playing in the waves, digging in the sand, laying on beach loungers soaking up the sun and, listening to the waves from our balcony. That’s just a couple of the things we love doing when we go to the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. There are so many things to do in Florida it seems we always end of there on vacation, from beaches to theme parks, Florida is a great place to spend our vacations!

Arby’s is partnering with the iconic KING’S HAWAIIAN brand to introduce two irresistible new sandwiches to their menu, the Arby’s KING’S HAWAIIAN roast beef sandwich and Arby’s KING’S HAWAIIAN Roast Beef & Swiss sandwich. They are only available for a limited time! Have you tried them yet? If you haven’t tried one of them yet I suggest you do before they are gone! My husband has had the KING’S HAWAIIAN Roast Beef sandwich several times now really likes it.

It’s that time of year again for flip flops, sundresses and bathing suits. I have one problem though. Dry, itchy, ugly feet! I use lotion on them in the morning and at night and it’s just not enough. But I found a Tree Hut foot cream at Wal-Mart the other day that I have not tried before and I can’t wait to see if it helps me! And my hands get so dry and crack from having them in water all the time I want to try Tree Hut hand cream to see if that helps!

I am a big fan of International Delight’s Cold Stone Creamery’s Sweet Cream Creamer.  It reminds me of warm summer days and making homemade ice cream with the kids.  I love summer.. warmer weather and ice cream! With summer comes the end of school and with the end of school comes gifts for teachers.  Most […]
