You can rent out a log cabin, or take your RV here as they offer full water and electric hookups. Make sure that you check out some of the interesting and fun museums in the area, including Loretta’s Coal Miner’s Daughter Museum, Loretta’s Frontier Homestead and the Native American Artifact Museum.

Trapp Family Lodge

This beautiful resort is located in Stowe, Vermont and is owned by the von Trapp Family; a family most may be familiar with due to their representation in the popular musical, Sound of Music. This luxurious resort offers absolutely stunning views of the mountains and is often referred to as the “little Austria” of Vermont. Activities that you can participate in with the entire family include disc golf, hiking, tennis, swimming, acres and crafts, skiing, bird watching, history tours, mountain biking and more.

Wild Dunes Charleston’s Island Resort

If you’re looking for vacation homes on the beach, then there is some fantastic Isle of Palms Real Estate available in South Carolina that is located near the boardwalk and on the beach. Amenities offered to visitors here include restaurants, salon, shops, pools and plenty of activities that include biking, kayaking, fishing, parasailing and eco-tours. This destination is perfect for any family looking for a relaxing but memorable vacation getaway.
These are just a few of the wonderful family-friendly resorts that you could visit on your vacation around the country. Take a week off and spend some much needed time with the family at one of these excellent resorts.
