Liven Up Your Holiday Menu With Ragu and Win a $200 AmEx Gift Card! #Giveaway

RaguThe holiday season is often the busiest time of the year, and when friends and family come to visit, the last thing I wants is to be stuck in the kitchen preparing time-consuming holiday meals. By having a couple of quick and easy recipes in my recipe book, I can have festive holiday meals on the table and join the party too.

RECIPE IDEA: An easy recipe that requires only a few minutes of preparation is a pasta bake. It’s also a sneaky way to get the kids to eat their vegetables, since Old World Style Traditional Ragu Sauce packs in 2 servings of vegetables in every 1/2 cup of pasta sauce.

HOW TO: Just cook a favorite pasta, such as rotini or fusilli, layer it in with sauce and generously top with Parmesan, and bake, it’s that simple!

RECIPE IDEA: Another fun holiday pasta recipe is Penne Pasta with Sausage.

HOW TO: Brown spicy Italian sausage in light oil with onion, add the sausage to the pasta sauce, and toss them together with the cooked penne. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan and enjoy. You can even please your picky child with a homemade pizza with Ragu Homemade Style Pizza Sauce, (my very picky 5 year old loves these!) allowing your child to top their own section with their favorite toppings.

Serving pizza and pasta dishes are quick and easy ways to feed a crowd, and satisfy even the pickiest or heartiest appetites. By adding these festive dishes to the holiday table, the host and hostess can save time and toil in the kitchen and enjoy the holidays with the family.

  1. I love Ragu sauce it is the only sauce we use. I would liven up our holiday by adding it as a dipping sauce for breads.

  2. I would liven up my meals in general with Ragu by actually making pasta for myself even though my husband wants nothing to do with pasta or anything Ragu.

My entry was removed from this giveaway too. Why? I followed all instructions.

  3. I love using Ragu for spaghetti marinara with butternut squash mixed in the sauce or for dipping sauce for breadsticks. Thanks!

  4. I commented on the discussion board also:

As far as I am concerned, any pasta and Ragu dish heated up the next day is absolutely wonderful all by it’s self!

  5. I have to say, if it were up to me, I would have nothing but pasta and Ragu for all my holiday dinners and skip the ham and turkey. I would have several different dishes going at the same time. I LOVE pasta and Ragu.

  6. I never make pasta so I would just like to use Ragu to make my first real pasta dish (besides mac and cheese ha ha). That would liven things up.

  7. I’m not sure how to liven up traditional holiday meals with Ragu, but we had a nice lasagna made with Ragu for Christmas Eve!

  8. I serve Ragu marinara sauce instead of ketchup to liven up the chcken nuggets we always include with the holiday meal for the kids at the party!

  9. Saute onions and garlic add Ragu and simmer for 5- 10 minutes. Add Kalamata olives at some prosciutto that has been cooked crisp.. (in the oven) Toss with pasta.

  10. I’d use Ragu sauce in my pizza casserole bake! It’s always a hit with kids at group potlucks that we go to around the holidays.

  11. I love to use Ragu on nights when I am in a big hurry!! Spaghetti and chicken Parmesan are my favorite dishes to use Ragu in!!

  12. I would liven up my holiday meal with Ragu by adding a side dish that included the sauce. I have a variety of picky eaters including a vegetarian in my home. Therefore a meatless dish like pasta is necessary.

  13. Ragu sauce is great for finger food dipping! We like to make breadsticks and dip them in Ragu for a treat while watching movies or football 🙂 Easy for the Holidays!

  14. I’m making ham but i know there are people coming that don’t like ham. I was thinking of making some chicken breasts up for them. Maybe I could do a Chicken parmesan with Ragu sauce

  15. I love Ragu especially the garden combination. I would love to add it to some pasta with parmeasan cheese and chicken…mmm mmm 😉

  16. I would create a pasta dish uses a tomato sauce base, also use Ragu’s sauce as dipping sauces for items like spicy meatballs and other finger foods.

  17. I commented on the Ragu Leftovers FB conversation with my username Mary Happymommy. I wrote “I take leftover meat balls to make meatball subs.”

  18. I would liven up a party with Ragu by having multiiple sauces and everyone could pick what sauce they would want for their pasta. This would be super fun!

  19. I use Ragu during the holidays for my “Red and Green Holiday Lasagna”
It’s just regular old lasagna but with spinach added. Don’t tell the kids. lol!

  20. I love pasta dishes and Italian food. I would use Ragu in a Chicken Fettucine dish either red or white. Thanks for the chance to win this awesome giveaway! katbirdfl (at) gmail (dot) com
