Yoplait Frozen Smoothie and 3 Speed KitchenAid Blender Review and Giveaway

I used to stop at a local Smoothie shop on my way to work every day.  I relied on my daily smoothie to get me through the day.  It had a shot of Turbinado sugar in it, giving me the boost I needed after a long night of partying the night before.  Since having kids, I’ve gotten out of the habit of drinking a smoothie every day and I miss that tradition.  Up until I learned about Yoplait Frozen Smoothie mix that is.

Yoplait Frozen Smoothie

A few days ago, I tried Yoplait’s new Blueberry Pomegranate and Triple Berry frozen smoothie and made it using a new the new KitchenAid 3 Speed Blender that was sent along with the coupon for the smoothie mix.  My kids are huge milkshake fans so I thought surely they would be super excited to make smoothies at home.  And they were!  Half of the fun was in making the smoothies..especially for my four year old daughter who isn’t keen on trying new things but she loves helping in the kitchen.  Anyhoo.. my husband and kids were about to enjoy a backyard bon-fire and were really excited about taking their smoothies out with them.

Drinking one Yoplait Frozen Smoothie will help you get important nutrients, including vitamin C and calcium your body needs.   Making a Yoplait frozen smoothie is simple.  All you have to do is put the fruit contents and the recommended amount of milk into your blender and whala, you have a delicious smoothie!  You can make your smoothie with milk, soy milk, or coconut milk.  Whichever floats your boat. What an easy and delicious way to meet a few nutritional goals each day!  Each package of Yoplait Frozen Smoothies contains one full serving of fruit and makes two servings and what’s really great is that each serving is just 110 to 120 calories.

  21. I want to win because we love smoothies (and froo-froo girlie drinks) and we keep burning out our blenders. If my other KA appliances are anything to go by this one might last for a while. 😉

  22. I want to win because my hubby & I love smoothies.
My favorite memories are Dad, Mom, sister & I would make our own blizzards at home in the blender growing up. Another favorite memory happened once my sister & I were adults & went to Dad’s high school reunion with him & laughing at my Dad for bringing a blender to a hotel but when he pulled out margarita ingredients everyone was happy he did. My Dad is no longer with us so these are not just favorite memories they are precious moments that I cherish now & forever so thank you for making me remember these moments today!!!!

  23. I LIVE off of smoothies and my current blender has definitely seen better days. I want to win so I don’t have to smash my fruit before it goes in the blender!

My favorite memory is a bit pathetic. Like I said above ^ I do smoothies a lot. It’s an easy way to get protein, fiber, and fruits/veggies for the day in the morning or for lunch. I have a hard time exercising since my back stopped working a few years ago due to a sudden strike of a disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis. Before we knew what I had (other than unexplainable back pain in a young, healthy woman) I was essentially on bedrest for a few years, only walking so far as between classes, and that was killing me.
I was so tired and in so much pain all the time that if my meals weren’t easy to make I simply wouldn’t eat.
One day I neglected to put the lid on top of the blender and it took me a few moments to realize why I was soaked with soy milk and strawberries, etc. Realizing my mistake I quickly turned it off. I swear I’m not an idiot when I’m fully functioning.
But then I couldn’t find the lid. It was probably somewhere nearby, but I gave up after about 1 min of looking. Instead I opted to cover the top with a towel.
So I crushed the strawberries a little more with a fork to ensure maximum smoothiness. Unfortunately I forgot to take it out. With my hand holding the towel on top, I turned the blender back on (the fork nearly taking out my hand, and now my whole kitchen covered with what was going to be my lunch.
Luckily I have an awesome family who loves me and didn’t kill me for asking for help on the clean up. And we had a great laugh over how I made a simple task complicated, messy, and downright dangerous!

  24. I would like to win because I recently discovered that I REALLY love strawberry banana smoothies. If I could make them easily from home that would be amazing!

  25. I would love to win because my husband and I are trying to eat healthier, and inspire our children to do the same.

  28. My favorite blender experience was in college (many, many years ago) – a bunch of us went out to RHPS on Saturday night, then back to my house for a party. My poor blender worked really hard making drinks for all of us! I had picked a flat of strawberries earlier that day so we were drinking strawberry daquiris and some blended watermelon drink (with the occasional seed thrown in for good measure).

We also got into an M&M fight later – I was finding M&Ms for months afterwards!

  29. I want to win because I don’t own a blender, and I’m trying to eat healthier. I’d love to do smoothies or protein shakes in the morning for breakfast (because I’m not supposed to skip breakfast but I’m generally not hungry in the mornings)

  30. I love to make and drink smoothies. My favorite is strawberry and yogurt smoothie. My email is breezyinaz at gmail dot com.

  31. I want to win because my blender is on its last leg…and I’d like to be able to try the Yoplait Frozen Smoothies. My favorite smoothie has berries in it…other things, which can vary, too, but berries every time.

  32. I have been dreaming of having a blender for years now so that I can make smoothies, this would be a dream come true.

    agatewood1@ymail.com

  35. I love smoothies, they’re so good for you and delicious too! BUT I find it hard to include them without a blender in my dorm and no time to go to the shops for one.

  36. I have not yet tried the Yoplait smoothies but would love to try the Triple Berry flavor.
The blender would definitely be an asset as the one that I had has quit working some time ago.

    jweezie43[at]gmail[dot]com

  37. I would love to win this because I live at college and don’t have a blender. I would also love to expand the drinks I can have at school.

  38. Love smoothies, make one every morning for breakfast. My latest smoothie technique is to use coconut milk instead of water or regular milk. Great taste and get all the health benefits from the coconut milk.

  39. You know that air bubble that hides by the base after you blend a smoothie? I learned a long time ago to stir the contents after blending before trying to pour it into a cup. How did I learn? I got smacked in the face by my smoothie once, and it wasn’t pretty!! Always stir after blending to avoid wearing your smoothie!

I’ve never owned a Kitchenaid appliance, I bet they make amazing blenders! Thanks for this giveaway!

  40. I would like to win because I don’t have a blender and I love smoothies. It would be fun to make them at home, plus a lot cheaper too.

  41. I’m trying to collect things for my son to take away to college next year and he loves a smoothie in the morning.

  42. I love this product! I get the multi packs from Costco and it’s perfect for kids. I have one of those little Ninja blenders and my kids will have this for their snack when they home from school. So much better than candy or cookies! It’s easy and fast for them!

  43. When I was first learning to cook, I got a new blender, but put it together wrong and didn’t put the rubber seal on the bottom. Nor did I get the lid on tight, so when I started the blender (almost full of liquid) and walked away, disaster struck. Leaking from the bottom, spraying out the top. It’s been over 30 years, and I still remember this event very well!!!

  53. Last time I used a blender to make a milk shake the blender started to smoke and the milkshake ended up all over the kitchen.

  54. I’d like to win this since I think smoothies provide a sane way to deal with that unwise snacking sweetooth thing that can be at the bottom of bad nutrition habits. I like this prize since it is a big-hearted one. Ready made smoothies when you are in a hurry and a blender for when you want to be creative. And I really love make up fruit flavors as the seasons change. Pear banana vanilla is the very best I’ve come up with this winter.

  62. My best smoothie experience involved my husband and my 2 and 7 year old children. I had both kids pick out what they wanted in their smoothies. We did a banana and blueberry smoothie for the youngest and the 7 year old wanted strawberry, banana, and chocolate chips in it. Yes..chocolate chips! They both actually turned out pretty good. We had one heck of a mess to clean up when we were done though 🙂

  63. To be honest I really want to win because I don’t have a blender so I can make any smoothies or shakes but I also really want to try the Yoplait smoothies-they look easy to make and yummy too!

  81. There are many reasons why I’d love to win. First, my blender is worthless. It doesn’t crush ice properly and leaves chunks of stuff at the bottom. kport207 at gmail dot com
