HTC Droid ERIS Review

HTC Droid ERIS

The DROID ERIS by HTC understands what moms need.  Moms and teens can make this phone their own, personalizing almost everything about it from custom scenes to apps, and more.

With the Droid ERIS, Moms have 24/7 access to friends, family, and teachers, using ERIS’ Facebook® friends, Google Talk™, and Flickr® apps and you will never miss a Tweet again, with HTC Peep™.  Moms can keep up with conversations they’ve had with a particular friend via that friend’s contact card in Contacts.  No more searching your email, text messages, or Facebook.. you can just go to that person’s contact card and see all of your conversations right there in one place.  – A great feature for busy moms!

HTC Droid ERIS features:

  • Choose from thousands of apps on the Android Market™.
  • Know the time and weather, no matter where you travel. When your plane lands, your phone updates automatically.
  • Seven page home screen provides ample space to place the information that means the most to you at your fingertips
  • Wi-Fi & 3G compatible
  • USB Syncing cable  included
  • 5.0 Megapixel Camera with Autofocus
  • 3.2” Display
  • Full HTML Browser w/ Wi-Fi
  • Removable Micro SD Memory – up to 16GB
  • Bluetooth v2.0 compatible
  • Operating on Android 1.5 with HTC’s breakthrough new User Interface, SenseTM

Currently available to Verizon Wireless customers, the DROID ERIS is an affordable smartphone for busy moms and dads that need to stay in touch.

The HTC Droid ERIS is a great smartphone for beginner smartphone users.  My mother who is with Verizon, has the HTC Droid ERIS loves it.  She transitioned from a Palm to the ERIS and is very happy.  She appreciates the touch screen, multiple home screens,  the camera quality, easy calling features, email, and has actually downloaded a few game apps!  Like with any smartphone the HTC Droid ERIS requires that you add a data package to your Verizon account which costs $29.99 or more.

  1. I would love to win this phone I recently started working on the go and don’t have a smart phone yet. What a great giveaway! Following on twitter @dad1111 and a subscriber 🙂

  2. My wife accidentally left her Eris on top of the car while trying to get our temper-throwing son into his carseat. Next thing you know, it was run over! She loved that phone. I would love to replace it for her.

  3. The ability to store up 16GB on a mircoSD card on the ERIS is amazing. I won’t ever have to delete anything off my phone because it’s puny memory capabilities were about to run out!!! 🙂

  4. My husband takes over all the cool gadgets like a smartphone and the IPod Touch while for some reason I hang on to the dinosaur of a cell phone I have. I would love to win something cool and keep it for myself! Thanks!

  5. My husband’s cell went through the wash and the refurb one he got is already broken 1 month later… grrr. Verizon of course says he doesn’t get another new phone for over a year, so he would love to have this one! The threaded messaging capability is great and it looks soo slick! Thanks! thebubbledies(at)gmail(dot)com

  6. I’ve been going back and forth between the Droid and the iPhone, I’d just like a new phone that’s nicer than my 13 year old son’s. (which I pay for of course)

  7. Most of the keys on my phone’s number pad are unresponsive unless I press down really hard :'( This phone would make life so much easier 😮

  8. I would love to win this beacuse my phone just broke and we don’t want to have to re-up the contract so it is either this or E-bay. lol

  11. It has threaded messaging!!! That would make looking at all of my texts so much easier… It would be so convenient to see my conversation with someone in one place instead of looking for past messages in my inbox! 🙂

  12. Found myself on the verizon wireless website during my lunch break… (I’m addicted 😮 )

I can’t believe the Eris has a 5 Megapixel camera!!! Isn’t the new iphone just coming out with a 5 megapixel camera?!?!! Talk about technology way ahead of it’s time…

  13. Entered. Followed. Tweeted. Loved.

Ahhh! It would be AMAZING to win this. My swan song seems to be in line with most people’s concerns. My current phone is old and decrepit… it turns off by itself, drops calls at random and is hideous to look at after almost 2 years of heavy usage.

Now a short while ago, I was wistfully perusing the local Verizon store when I came across the Droid ERIS. It is such a beautiful phone with a clean interface… it’s hard to not fall in love with it. Too bad the upgrade price for the phone is way out of my budget atm, so this is my only venue for owning one of these shiny beauties. Fingers crossed!

  14. I love this phone because it’s touch screen and i like the OS. I also love how theirs so many apps for it. If I win, it will also be my first smartphone. I am currently using a basic flip phone

  15. My son Matt just bought the new Droid and he loves it.I would love to win this one. Thanks for the chance:)

  16. This would be a big step up for me. I have a plain jane tracfone. Love the features

  18. I want the phone because I still have the old style phone where there are 3 letters per key when texting. It makes me crazy! It’s time for me to step into the future.
