Lifetime’s quirky comedic drama series, Drop Dead Diva, is about a fateful accident that brings one joyous woman into a whole new world of love, life, and career adventures through a new set of eyes.

Drop Dead Diva is the story of a beautiful-but-vapid model wannabe Deb (Brooke D’Orsay) who has a fatal car accident and finds herself in the body of the recently deceased Jane Bungum (Brooke Elliott), a brilliant plus-size attorney.

By a twist of fate and a bolt of divine intervention, Deb can no longer rely on her fabulous looks to pull her through. Now, the new Jane must confront the challenges of her adventurous new life, love and career — as well as her curvier frame — in the ultimate showdown of brains and beauty.

1 Michelle May 27, 2010 at 5:33 pm: I thought rosie o’donnell was absolutely hilarious in this show. She was so get-to-the-point and serious about everything. It was so funny when her brain would hurt from remembering all the smart stuff, brooke elliott is a very talented actress.

And Rosie was my favorite guest because of the dating website episode.

6 ky2here May 28, 2010 at 5:37 am: First, I’m a huge Margaret Cho fan so I watch this show for her. The Cho Show on Logo and VH1 was one of the funniest reality shows ever. For Drop Dead Diva, I liked the episode with Tim Gunn because his stiffness was the perfect backdrop for the absurdity of this show.

I do believe this was also the episode where we see Stacy, “Janes” (Deb’s really) blonde friend use her acting chops for other than commercials. Can’t wait for season 2!

My favorite guest star was hands down Tim Gunn!!! He’s so awesome!!!

I really hope to win not only to finish the season but so that my sister can enjoy watching the show with me…she has never seen it but after listening to me talk so much about it she can’t wait!!

In each of the episodes, it’s always the interactions between Jane and Stacy that are the best for me! Stacy treats her Jane 100% like she’s still her best friend Deb! It’s such a great show!!
I can’t wait for Season 2!
