We met the cast of Percy Jackson & The Olympians The Lighting Thief!

My 10 year old is in shock! He just met the cast of Percy Jackson & the Olympians Lighting Thief.. Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson), Brandon T. Jackson (Grover Underwood), Alexandra Deddario (Annabeth Chase)!

We met the cast at Borders bookstore in Marietta, today where Logan, Brandon, and Alexandra answered questions from the crowd and signed autographs.

I’ve never heard such load screaming in my life. My 3 year old covered her ears and buried herself in her stroller during the screams. Girls were screaming “I love you Percy!”.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians The Lighting Thief opens in theaters February 12th and I’m sure theaters all over the country will be packed with enthuastic book readers.

Way cool!

  1. My daughter loved book one. unforunately our local libraries copy of book two is on hold for awhile. She would love to own the full set but because of finances i cant do that for her.

  2. I LOVE THESE BOOKS! I just happened to stubble across this series in my local library and read them all, cracking up the whole time. I then recruited my hubby to read them – he cracked up the whole time too (we plan to see the movie for valentine’s day because we are THAT cool). I would LOVE to own this book because whenever my daughter gets books from the library that she loves, she doesn’t like to return them. And I KNOW that she would love these.

  3. I just can’t seem to get my 12YO to read enough, he says he’s bored, recommend reading, but it has to be a book that really grabs him for him to pick it up. I know he has an interest in this movie, this just may be one of those books

  4. It is generally a struggle when it comes time to read w/my son. We started reading the first Percy Jackson book last week and let me tell you, he LOVES it and is not giving me a hard time when it’s time to read. I have challenged him to get through the whole book by next Friday and then we will see the movie. I want him to continue on with the series and this win will help him (and me)!

  5. I think my daughter Samantha needs to win this book because she hates reading but loves the story. So, I know she will actualy READ it.
    Thanks for the contest!

  6. My nephew is a total book worm. He reads anything he can get his hands on and is so excited about the movie that he wants to read the next book. Plus if he gets it I can steal it. You are never too old right? 😉

  7. I want to win this book for my little brother because he has been reading books like this for the past year or so and seems very interested in this series! I’d love to have it for him! 🙂 especially since the movie is coming out 🙂

  8. I got my son hooked on reading the Harry Potter books, and I think that this would be right up his alley and would keep him interested in reading. Thanks for the chance

  9. For some reason we do not have book 2, we have all the others so I would like to have the complete set for my younger son to read. Please

  10. I bought my 11 yr. old Grandson the set of Harry Potter books for Christmas of 2008. He call me two days ago to let me know he was getting ready to start on the last book.
I think The Sea of Monsters would also be a fun book to read. I always read books before I give them to my Grandson. That way we have more to talk about.

  11. My child should win a copy of this book because every time the ad for the movie comes on television all I hear is that we have to go see the movie. Also, I love to see my child reading.
