Evenflo booster seat – Big Kid AMP no back booster seat review and giveaway

My now 10 year old son rode in a booster seat until relatively recently.  The safe ‘no booster seat’ age is 10-12 years old.  He actually liked sitting in a booster seat because he could see out the window better.  I am 5’1″ and often joke that I should still sit in a booster seat.  I’ve spent about a week reviewing the Evenflo Big Kid AMP no back booster seat and have really enjoyed it.. as has my daughter.  She is too young to use it in the car but has found many uses for it around the house including ‘teacher seat’ and as a ‘booster seat highchair’.. on the floor.  I don’t recommend using a booster seat as a real high chair as it could slide off the chair.

Features of the Evenflo Big Kid AMP no back booster seat include:

  • a cup and a snack holder both with an elastic band so they can hold cups and snacks of just about any size!  Love it!
  • softtouch armrests
  • removable, washable, and wipeable black seat pad
  • soft seat pad
  • available in bright pink, red, and blue

You can buy an Evenflo Big Kid AMP no back booster seat for $25 – $40+ here at Amazon.com.  Watch an interactive demo of the Evenflo Big Kid AMP no back booster seat here.  Learn the booster seat laws of your state here.  You’ve got to love Evenflo for giving parents easy access to booster seat laws for their state.

Snow in Atlanta.. about 2 inches of it.. we’re in shock!

Atlantans are in shock as they watch a steady stream of snow fall from the solid white sky!!!
That was my shot at a journalistic headline.  Humor me.

I sure wish my 3 year old would wake up from her once a month nap so she could see the snow before it’s dark! My 10 year old and husband are out running errands (buying gloves to play in the snow with) so they aren’t even here to enjoy the snow with me!

It’s not bad enough that I don’t get to go to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus tonight because of the snow, but no one is available to play in the snow with me!

Marlise Karlin: Imagine CD – a stressed mom’s hero

I have major sleep and relaxation issues resulting from.. having two kids, bad dreams, car accident, and other issues that I’m guessing 85% of the population share with me so I am always looking for ways to de-stress my mind and body and fall asleep easier.  I was introduced to Marlise Karlin in May 2009 and wrote about her tips for living well, here.  Now, Marlise has a new CD out that I can’t wait to listen to in its entirety and hope to soon.

Marlise is a world renowned spiritual teacher who has traveled the globe, teaching people how to reconnect with their true essence to bring peace and balance back into their lives by experiencing The Simplicity of Stillness.™

Countless people from every culture around the world have attended Marlise’s Programs and are attesting to the extraordinary benefits that her Stillness Sessions® have brought to their lives, from experiencing a sense of peace rarely felt, to finding balance and wellbeing, from releasing years of road blocks, to discovering what they really want out of life and how to create it.

Marlise has just released her latest Stillness Session on CD called “Imagine.”

Stillness Sessions™ are an experiential form of teaching designed to move people beyond the limitations and agitations of the mind and into their natural state of being. These journeys are accompanied by music and words infused with the profound energy and vibration of Stillness.

EasyLunchbox Food containers and Carrying Bags

I love food storage items.  I have a cabinet packed with all types of food storage products and one of my favorites is Easy Lunchboxes’ combo lunch and snack containers (AKA food storage containers).  Easy Lunchboxes’ Compartmentalized BPA-Free Plastic Food Storage Containers are colorful, convenient, and BPA-free.

My 3 year old takes lunch Wednesdays and Fridays and these combined with her Citizenpip lunch bag make packing her lunch a breeze and easy for her to carry.  I usually put hummus in one compartment, carrots or crackers in another, and fruit and cheese in the 3rd compartment.  EasyLunchBoxes.com sells a lunch box cooler which is great for day trips and for older kids who take their lunch to school but my 3 year old has to fit her lunch box in her school bag and the Easy Lunchboxes’ lunch cooler is too big to fit in her bag.

Easy Lunch Boxes’ features:

  • dishwasher safe
  • microwave safe
  • refrigerator and freezer safe
  • secure snap-on lids
  • 4 bottoms with 3 compartments each
  • 4 lids – each a different color
  • very sturdy.. these are more sturdy than typical food storage containers
  • BPA-free

GIVEAWAY!

  • EasyLunchboxes.com is giving one lucky reader a set of containers and a lunch bag!
