My nephew needs the Good Nite Lite. He rises way too early - before the sun! I've really found that it can be helpful to have some external, objective sign or symbol to show your kid what's expected: clock says it is time to go to bed, stoplight says you have to wait to cross the street, policeman says you have to be buckled in your carseat, etc. You can't really argue with that. The Good Nite Lite is perfect for pre-readers!
