Citizenpip Soup to Nuts kit + a giveaway!

CitizenpipMadelyn started preschool this year and I was a bit of a wreck on the first Wednesday she attended because that is the day the kids stay an hour later so they can eat lunch at school. A few thoughts that raced in my mind where: what would she think about eating with other kids, they are like aliens to her, what would I pack for her to eat, and what on earth would I pack her lunch in? My first thought was to put some carrots and crackers in a couple of small ziplocks and put them inside a big ziplock and send her on her way. It’s been a long time since I sent a child to preschool.. about 8 years.

I was thrilled for Madelyn when I got the Citizenpip Soup to Nuts kit! I can’t imagine having a more perfect lunch kit for her to take to school. She is able to open the bag and the containers herself so she doesn’t have to ask the teachers for help.

  1. Whenever they get bento lunches I have to pack a ton because everyone thinks they are the coolest thing ever and wants to share. Even after a few years it is still a treat for them.

  2. The first day of my son’s kindergarten class. He didn’t remember which lunch box was his so he sat next to his friend who shared his lunch with my son.

  3. Tasty Style kit, it looks retro with all the green little squares and I like that look, kimnd of 50’s dinner-ish it reminds me of.

  4. When my oldest daughter was two, we had gone out to lunch at a buffet with my parents. We were all enjoying our meal when we happened to glance at my daughter. In the space of about 2 seconds, she had taken her shirt off. I guess it was too warm in there for her! She just giggled and it took quite a bit of work to get her shirt back on her. Now that she is 15, I am not sure she would appreciate me telling that story!

  5. Bay Lentil is still i the discovery phase when it comes to eating, and I’m often greeted with firmly shut lips. So my favorite moments are when she likes a new food and not only accepts it, but practically dives onto the spoon and devours the food as if she hasn’t eaten in weeks

  6. And a funny lunch story…Apparently on Tuesday, my son went to open his trail mix and it went “kaboom” all over the place. He found it hilarious (though I’m sure whoever helped clean it up didn’t). Plus he was more excited when grandma (who teaches there) offered him a special treat from her room in place of it. Luckily, that’s the most eventful experience he’s had at lunch time!

  7. Tell me a funny lunchtime story staring your child:

My son asked me to pack him an apple for when I was making lunches, and I misheard him and packed a Snapple!
