Product Review + Giveaway: Knock Knock, organization at its finest and funniest!

May 27, 2009 · 60 comments in New posts,Organization,Paper Goods

Knock KnockOh my gosh!!  I am totally in love with Knock Knock.   I can’t tell you how many note pads I have laying around the house despite the fact that I have at least 3 to-do/organization programs on my mac to help me stay organized!  Ha Ha!  Can you say “ADHD poster girl”?
We recently had a few home projects to plan and organize and between Tim and I there were about a dozen sheets of paper laying around the house with roofer’s phone numbers, terminology, ratings, etc..  I finally broke down because I didn’t know where to begin.  At the time that we were planning things, I could only dream of one place to keep all of the roofer’s phone numbers, phone notes, and swirly doodles I drew while on the phone with potential roofers.   Knock Knock’s Home Maintenance Organizer would have been a lifesaver – and will be in the future!

Knock Knock makes it easy for me to let Tim know what he can MUST do to make me happy with the Things You Must Do To Make Me Happy notepad.  That cracks me up!  A few of my favorites on the checklist are “wake up”, “remember what you tell me”, and “get it yourself”.

Knock Knock MousepadThe most useful Knock Knock item for me is the Information Central Paper Mousepad.  I am at the computer many many many hours a day and while I’m working, naturally, a million random thoughts are going through my head.  Being able to jot the ideas and thoughts down on my mousepad is so cool!  I love it!

Especially for new parents, the Postpartum Bundle of Joy kit comes complete with a New Parent Checklist for leaving the house, a book straight from Knock Knock’s Self Hurt series titled “How to Traumatize Your Children”, and a voucher booklet for new parents.

GIVEAWAY!
We are giving one lucky reader a Knock Knock Errand Manager Pad, Information Central Paper Mousepad, the Happy Mom Bundle, and Home-Maintenance Organizer!  Just leave a comment below telling me an ‘organization or disorganization story’ (ex: did you forget a really important date, lose your keys at a really bad time, or forget to do something important for work?).  I will choose one winner at random.  Entries accepted until June 11th.

I only forgot my mom’s birthday because I wrote the date on paper that I lost. I needed to have a daily planner book.

2 Randall Curran June 2, 2009 at 6:16 am

My desk is pretty organized, but not my girlfriend…she can use this.

3 Brandon Ralston June 2, 2009 at 9:49 am

My organization story is that whenever someone who comes to visit wants something to borrow or use, I always know where it is.

We lost a $100 gift from a family member because instead of being put away immediately it was put in a shallow pocket and while that would be a big deal now this was when my hubby was a graduate student and we were so PO we could not afford the OR in POOR.

Just yesterday I was looking for my purse and thought I had locked it in the car. Well after calling my wonderful husband thinking my son would be late for his baseball game and me and the kids went on a house hunt for my purse. There is was on the kitchen table. Uggh..I am so happy that we found it before my son was late but to think I had lost it when it was somewhere very obvious. thank you for the chance

every single christmas i have to call people for their address because i can never seem to remember to write them all in one place for the next year!

12 Rosey June 3, 2009 at 4:47 pm

Being a writer, my husband’s natural inclination is to write things on slips of paper as he thinks of them, and then leave them all over the house (no where around when he’s at the computer). The mouse you can write on would be awesome for organization and productivity, not to mention convenience. I love it!

are you kidding, i forget everything, i forget my brothers birthday on the 1st, i know loser. i just cant keep up with anything.

14 Erika Elizabeth Meyer June 3, 2009 at 9:18 pm

I constantly forget my keys places even though they are the most important things I should be remembering. My mind is just so forward focused those auto-pilot things get neglected. One day I was headed to my first day of class and I decided to leave me car running while I ran in to the get the book I needed. As soon as I locked and shut the door, it dawned on me that my spare car key was at home (in another town!). I waited three hours for help to unlock my car and completely missed my class!

My dis-organization is centered on keeping my sweepstakes bloggers entry qualifications organized. I write down each bloggers name by alphabet then put a Y ,G,F,TW.FB after each for the qualifications. Is there an easier way to organize.

16 Kathy June 4, 2009 at 11:45 am

I am very organized at work (I’m a nurse!), but at home? Oh my! I could use this!

17 Ginger June 4, 2009 at 11:56 am

I have dreams where I forgot my kids at home and don’t realize it until hours later. No, I’m not that bad in real life, but it’s something that stresses me out anyway!

18 barbara wright June 6, 2009 at 7:36 am

I am so disorganized right now that I panicked yesterday when I saw something about Father’s Day coming soon. I ran right out, bought a card, filled it out, and brought it to the post office. It wasn’t until today that I looked at the calendar and noticed that Fathers Day is still a few weeks away – oops!

19 Mary Casper June 6, 2009 at 11:08 am

21 JONI CHADWELL June 7, 2009 at 2:57 pm

28 Dree June 9, 2009 at 2:49 pm

Whenever I am about to leave the house, it is chaos, where is my eyeglasses? Where’s my purse? Have anyone seen my shoes? While at home: where is my pen? Same with my boyfriend, he can’t find anything either!

33 James Scheminant, Sr. June 10, 2009 at 9:55 am

I lost my sons birth certificate just before we went on a cruise where he needed it to get on the ship. I had to drive 300 miles to the dept. of records and get a copy 2 days before we left. ugh!!!!

34 Kate June 10, 2009 at 11:20 am

I always lose my keys, and I’m late quite often because of that. They are always in obvious but hidden places, like in the couch!

35 Laura G June 10, 2009 at 12:32 pm

we lost my hubby’s birth certificate and social security card at some point before he changed jobs. of course we needed one or the other to do his i9 form for his new job. what a pain and a nail-biter it was getting a new certified copy of the birth certificat and new card! thankfully everything came in on time.

42 crystal June 10, 2009 at 11:30 pm

Organized? Lol. The most organized thing in this house is babies changing table. I don’t want to go digging for diapers when he has that rare diaperless moment to pee on Mommy. Everything else around here is organized, organized chaos that is.

43 AmandaMarieG June 11, 2009 at 1:42 am

48 marge mckoen June 11, 2009 at 8:10 am

I always lose coupons and grocery list

49 pam June 11, 2009 at 8:34 am

My biggest problem is a lack of organization to all the papers that come into our home. From school notices to bills. Things get lost and forgotten in the shuffle.

Thanks for the chance to win this great prize!!

50 Steph June 11, 2009 at 9:26 am

I am constantly trying to be organized but rarely manage it. I have had to ask my mom for my brother’s number at least 4 times because every time I ask her for it I write it on the closest piece of paper which is usually the back of a receipt. Then I end up forgetting the number is there and throw out the receipt. I forget birthdays anniversary and so on because I have at least 3 different systems going at the same time and somehow none ever works for me….I am sure that if I won these tools i could put them to very good use! Thanks

51 Randy Bailey June 11, 2009 at 9:39 am

52 Victoria Adragna June 11, 2009 at 12:43 pm

For a few years I was having a tough time remmebering birthdays other than immediate family’s. I had a PDA and that was great… until the PDA died and all that info with it. I having Lightning which works in conjunction with Mozilla Thunderbird, and updated all the birthdays to be recurring, on the calendar. So it reminds me a week before the occasion so I have time to buy cards, write a note, mail it and have it arrive on time!

Thanks for the giveaway!

57 Veronica Garrett June 11, 2009 at 7:36 pm

I lost our tickets to our home team’s homecoming game. It was sold out. My husband and his best buddy were planning on going. I had lost it in all my work paperwork. After searching furiously we found them with about 20 minutes to get to the game.

58 Michelle H. June 11, 2009 at 8:50 pm

My whole family gets into my desk and then everything gets lost. I need to find a solution to this.

59 Becky Grady June 11, 2009 at 9:17 pm

I have one clean surface in my house. I cleared all the clutter off a counter in my kitchen, and put sticky notes all over it telling the kids not to put anything there. They took this as a challenge, and left me some sticky notes back….Anyway, long story short, I need to do the same thing in a lot more places! :)
