Review of Joobles – the cutest little animals, from FairIndigo.com

Joobles from FairIndigo.comThese are the cutest little animals!

I recently got Bella, a huggable little bunny with lots of personality, to review and think moms are going to want to keep these to themselves.  Don't kid yourself.. you're going to be jealous of your kids if you don't buy a Jooble for yourself.  I am a huge snuggler and always have something in my arms at night.  I found my new favorite!

Joobles are made of 100% soft organic yarns and eco-friendly dyes and are about 11 inches tall making them super snuggly and perfect for little hands to hold.

Joobles are very special in that they are made fairly in Peru under fair trade conditions which is a rapidly gJoobles from FairIndigo.com
rowing movement dedicated to paying workers fair wages rather than minimum ones and to providing workers with a safe and healthy working environment.

Joobles are GREAT stocking stuffers!

  1. Visit: for more info. The Free xbox live codes are all of one month and can be archieved within just 5 minutes! Try it out now!:

  2. Mel is our fave, because Lily is our little monkey! A contientous company that does’nt use sweat shops. More companies should take their lead!

  3. The bunny is our favorite. I learned that fair trade clothing is still new here in the US. I hope more companies follow their lead.

  4. Mooey the cow is our favorite. With the exception of Fair Indigo, teen retailer American Apparel is the only major brand selling “sweatshop–free” clothing in the United States. That surprised me.

  5. I love Jiffy the Giraffe. I learned that Fair Trade is a wonderful way for people to work to lift themselves out of poverty, through fair wages for their labor.

  6. i learned that fair indigo is one of only a very limited number of clothing companies to be fair trade- that’s pretty shocking. hopefully more company’s take fair indigo’s lead in the coming years. for now it’s important to support what few fair trade companies there are! i love the joobles – so cute. my favorite is(was?) icy, but i really love fair bear as well.

  7. My favorite is Bella the bunny or Icy the Penguin.

Fair trade is important because the workers that make the products, get paid fair wages and not the minimum. They are able to make a living.

  8. If anyone has kids who are interested in breaking into the fashion industry, there’s a new online contest. You can find it at The Fashion Fantasy Game (http://www.fashionfantasygame.com/). It’s called the Jordin Sparks Jingle Dress Contest.

This contest was designed specifically for the Christmas season. Players can design their own virtual clothes in the game and engage in some friendly competition with other players. It’s much better than having your kid go to the mall and waste your money on real clothes that will be out of style by next year.

Oh, and don’t forget — The Fashion Fantasy Game isn’t just a game. It’s also an open forum for discussion. If you have anything to say about Governor Blagojevich, feel free to say it while chatting, or just email it to User Feedback. I’m sure his name is easier to write than to say!

  10. My favorite is the giraffe. I love the colors! I learned that Fair trade clothing is still new here in the US, but has launched a few companies in the UK in recent years. I like the idea that companies are choosing to not use sweat shops. I always thought that was horrible how people got paid pennies for working for so many hours each day. Hopefully this will change that.

  11. Love Buzzy Bug! My one year old would, too, as she loves to make the “bzzz” sound as we read one of her books.

We’ll all be better off when fair trade apparel certification kicks in. Great giveaway & learning opportunity.

  15. Mooey Cow ! How adorable! I have a new grandchild on the way and this would be perfect!
I learned that Fair Indigo and American Apparel are the only major brands selling “sweatshop–free” clothing in the U.S. How sad is that?

  16. Although the Jiffy Giraffe is my favorite, since they are currently out of stock, my next favorite is “Buzzy Bug”. Love the puple, pink and yellow colors.

I was not aware that currently there isn’t an independent third party certification process for fair trade apparel. The only organization in the US that certifies “fair trade” products is TransFair USA, but it’s certification is limited to coffee, tea, vanilla and Select fruits.

  19. Favorite is Jiffy the Giraffe. I was surprised that there is currently no independent third party certification process for fair trade apparel. I am familiar with american apparel but thought there was cert for them and other retailers who carry fair trade wear.

  20. I LOOOOVE Bella the Bunny. It was so pleasantly suprising, too, to see a company that is focused on Fair Trade/Fair Wages. Kudos to them, and they just gained a customer for life…if only every company was that socially conscious!

  21. These are so cute. I collect rabbits and I’d love for my daughter to develop the love for bunnies as well so I can pass my collection down to her so Bella the Bunny is perfect! I learned that Fair Trade is mostly small shops selling clothes at this point. I would love to see Fair Trade greatly expanded in my lifetime.

  24. My favorite is Mooey the cow!! Fair Trade is wonderful in that they pay fair wages (not min wage) to the people who work so hard to make clothes and toys!
