Lands’ End Pattern Diaper Bag Totes

LandsenddiapertoteLands End is known for their durable clothing and outdoor
accessories and now they have a diaper bag tote sporting the same
durability. Features including a diaper changing pad, six large pockets, and a pocket on the outside to hold mom’s cell phone, pacifier (hopefully not mom’s), and more make this an ideal everyday diaper bag.

These are quit possibly the most sturdy tote’s I have used. While testing these totes, I packed so much stuff in them, I feel like Mary Poppins.  I was able to put two classic metal jack-in-the-boxes, a full size diaper wipe case, diapers, two sippy cups, a snack bowl, a water bottle, coloring book and crayons, a pair of Madelyn’s shoes, a small doll, and my wallet in one of these. It’s truly amazing. The full zipper closure keeps everything in and the reinforced handles make sure that this diaper bag tote won’t drop off your shoulder any time soon.

Click here to go to Lands’ End Baby and get your diaper bag tote today.

We have two Land’s End Diaper Bag Totes to give away to lucky readers (January 08). Enter the contest here. This contest has ended.   If you don’t win this month, don’t worry we have two more Lands’ End Diaper Bag Totes to give away soon!

Projection Clock With Weather Forecaster: $59.99

Oregonscientific_clock_3
Oregon Scientific has some great clocks that I want to share with you.

This clock sets itself to the U.S. Atomic Clock, using radio waves for
split-second accurate time. The projection light can be rotated by to
90 degrees to offer a unique way to read time in the middle of the
night by casting the time in glowing red numbers on the ceiling or
virtually any flat surface.

When I wake in the morning I look up to the ceiling and not only do I see the time but I see the outdoor temperature as well.  With the temperature varying so much here in Atlanta, it is nice to know what the temperature is outside before getting Sebastian ready for school and without having to go downstairs and outside.  One more than one occasion, when Sebastian arrived home from school, he let me know that he didn’t need to wear his three layer jacket I demanded he wear because I thought it was cold outside. In addition to displaying the outdoor temperature, this clock displays a forecast image so you have an idea what the weather will be like that day.  How neat!

Everyone here who tested the Oregon Scientific clocks for review really enjoyed the projection and weather features.

The only aspect of this clock that I am not thrilled with is the fact that it can’t be illuminated 24/7 but only with the press of a button. This makes it difficult to view the time during the day.

Other features include an  8 minute snooze and crescendo alarm and an on screen calendar.

We have several Oregon Scientific clocks to giveaway. They are NOT the same as this clock but they are all projection clocks.  We will start the giveaway soon so visit daily and join our mailing list using the sign up form at the top of the site to be notified when we start the giveaway.

Cookie Magazine – February 2008 issue: $3.50

Cookie_februaryCookie showcases all the best for your family, featuring fashion,
home, travel, entertainment and health for parents and their children. Cookie believes that being
a good parent and maintaining your sense of style are not mutually exclusive.

Throughout February’s issue you will find fashionable cold-weather clothing ideas for everyone in your family.  For Dad (a very handsome Dad), a cashmere sweater does the trick while Moms are reminded that just about anytime, anywhere, we can wear the tried and true basic three piece outfit which includes your favorite pair of jeans, a 3/4 length coat and pair of not so ordinary shoes.

The most interesting article in February’s issue is ‘the pink dress’ which is about a four year old boy who wants to wear a dress to school, forcing his parents to make a decision: protect him from ridicule or cultivate his self-expression?  I can’t imagine how I would react to a situation like this even though I consider myself to be very open-minded. My fear of classmates teasing my son would break my heart, but I 100% believe in self-expression.

This month’s cover features Liya Kebede, a model, actor, activist, and goodwill ambassador and her 2 year old daughter wearing a piece from Liya’s clothing line ‘Lemlem’.   Wow! Liya has a perfect life!  I was quickly proven wrong when I learned that she works very hard and faces the same daily trials that you and I  face as parents.  Liya tells us that ‘there is no typical day’.. sounds familiar, her daughter crawls into her bed at 2a.m… sounds familiar, and her daughter is often under her feet when she is working from home which makes it hard to get things done… that sounds so familiar.

Other features in February’s issue are Tips for a nontoxic life, Paid Maternity Leave?, and Storage Solutions for kid clutter.
