Listen to Alicia’s message here:

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I realized after arriving back in town that we didn’t talk to Sebastian (7 years old) about the meaning of Thanksgiving this year. The week was so hectic, we were busy preparing, cleaning, driving, cleaning more, cooking, cleaning more, etc. It didn’t even cross my mind to be sure that he knows what Thanksgiving is really about. To Sebastian, Thanksgiving is a time when we drive north to visit relatives, eat, and play outside in his Grand dad’s yard.. not a time of thanks.  I would love to know how many of you talked to your kids about the meaning of Thanksgiving this year.  Please participate in this poll here.

So on with the good stuff…

Tummy Talk – Delux pregnancy album

The Tummy Talk pregnancy book is a must have for expecting parents. I wish I had the Tummy Talk pregnancy book when I was pregnant. I don’t have good documentation of my pregnancy.

I would have loved to document when I first felt Madelyn kick, when she had the hiccups, when I couldn’t fit in my clothes anymore, etc.. There are so many aspects of pregnancy that are fun and important to document. The Tummy Talk pregnancy album is a beautiful and organized way to do just that.

Tummy Talk pregnancy albums are beautiful designed with a suede like cover including a hand placed Swarovski crystal. Choose from 3 colors. Each book has 105 pages in which to document every moment of your pregnancy including doctor’s visits, and the birth. The pages are separated into categories for quick reference. The back of the book contains 3 coordinating letterhead sheets on which friends and family can write a letter to baby which can be stored in the front pocket of the book. There are even die cut punch outs that you can paste onto pages and highlight important thoughts or events.

The Tummy Talk pregnancy album is a great baby shower gift!

Baby headbands and hairclips

I never thought I would be one to put a headband on my hairless daughter, Madelyn. In fact, just because my mother in law expects it… I didn’t want to do it! I’m a rebel I guess.

That all changed when I put this super cute pink headband from Lil’ Sugarplum on Madelyn’s tiny little head for the first time. My reaction was a little extreme. I couldn’t stop saying "oh my gosh! she’s so cute!" and of course, my husband agreed.

I now believe that headbands are the saving grace for hairless baby girls like Madelyn. Lil’ Sugarplum headbands are the perfect addition to the every day outfit or to a church ensemble.

There are several styles to choose from. If you are a more simplistic parent, you may appreciate the Lil Tuxedo Bows hairclips and for the parent that enjoys a more fancy look, you will like the Princess Headband which is what Madelyn has on in the picture above. Lil’ Sugarplum hairclips even stay put in Madelyn’s "barely there" hair!

Homemade Baby – Organic Baby Food

Parents are looking more into healthy, organic, chemical free food than ever these days. It is just a fact that the ‘extras’ simply aren’t needed, but the large baby food companies can’t seem to get away from them.

Homemade Baby gives parents an option with their certified organic and kosher baby food.  Hand cooked, their stage 1 food is super smooth for the beginner, their stage 2 food is a little mushier  for older babies and stage 3 is "chunkified" (as Sebastian puts it) for experienced babies.

Homemade Baby’s baby food arrives at your doorstep, nice and cold, ready to put in the fridge. There are clear instructions on how long you can have one bowl of food open in the fridge and which foods are best heated or eaten cool. The nutrition facts and ingredients are stated on the packaging but you will take one look at the baby food and know it is good for your baby.

Do you travel alot?  Homemade Baby’s baby food is great for those who make their own baby food but are traveling and won’t have access to the tools they need to make it while away.

Homemade Baby even has a ‘Yummy Tummy Club’ that you can join and have access to "sneak  peaks" of new flavors,  and a customized bundle of baby food is delivered to your door every week for one month, three months or for six months. No more worrying about running out of baby food!!

When you visit the Homemade Baby website you will be able to quickly find which type of food (so smooth, goody  mushy, or kinda chunky) is best for your baby. Then you choose the ‘flavors’ that you want based on the texture your baby is ready for.

Madelyn is new to the whole baby food world, so she is on stage 1 food and LOVES her Homemade Baby Just Sweet Potatoes! Iam afraid she might turn orange. If she does, I promise I will post a photograph of the newly orange Madelyn here!
